MY OPINION ABOUT THE WIZARD OF OZ

Well, What can I say?...

The story of a little girl, who when a cyclone arrives at her home, she is taken to a beautiful land named Oz. There she is going to meet a Tin Man, a Scarecrow and a Cowardly Lion who are gonna help her to return to her home, Kansas.

The Wizard Of Oz was always on my Classic Book's list I wanted to read, but for a certain fame that they have in terms of language, I decided to wait and read other books.

I already had an idea of how it would be, however, I never imagined that it was the opposite and had something even better, it was in English..

I know that the version they gave me in the school wasn't the original, and I really would like to read it like that. But I think this is okey.

Since I started to read it, the language wasn't hard and a glossary that is there helped me sometimes. And well, in my case I didn't like the images but I think for some readers that could be nice.

This book teaches us that through the narrated adventures, our complexes can be left behind in situations of risk, making us see that we can be braver, intelligent and noble than we thought. The Scarecrow will teach us to be thorough, the Tin Man will give us great lessons of kindness and compassion and the Lion will inspire us with the courage and bravery necessary to face any obstacle in our path. Little Dorothy, for her part, will tell us that no matter how beautiful the new lands may be, we will not be happier anywhere than where our loved ones are, for that is where a true home is formed.

"This is a beautiful country, but Kansas is my home [...] Home is always the best place to be. Please help me to go home"

And summarizing this message from the book, I think that the author wanted to tell us is that you never let yourself be defeated, and mainly to trust in yourself. Finally I gave it 4 stars.
